LLOYD GETS SOUTHERN RANKINGS BOOST… WALL & DAVENPORT HIGH POSSIBILITIES

Getting a boost this weekend, thru the Lucas Oil Dirtcar series Georgia Triple-Header, the reigning O'Reilly Southern All-Star series champ Ivedent Lloyd Jr. of Ocala Florida leads the Southern RANKINGS after obtaining a Thursday night Top 5 at Swainsboro (GA) Speedway. His only points tally of the weekend increased the # 21 'Bearden Oil Co., Snow Bros. Racing, Heat Treating Inc., Marion Machine & Tool' sponsored MasterSbilt, Koury Racing Engines, Pontiac GTO racers lead to 20 points over 2008 ICE BOWL champ Bobby Mayse, 2008 BAMA BASH champ Dale McDowell, Shep Lucas, the INTIMAGATOR Chris Wall, and Jonathan Davenport. Debuting the Southern RANKINGS after the LODs weekend are Tennessee’s Randy Weaver and Florida’s Jason Fitzgerald, both of which tallied fourth place finishes. Reigning Southern RANKINGS champ Dennis RAMBO Franklin also took in a 4th place finish, adding 10 points to his net, which stands just behind the ONE WIN CREW.

Looking ahead to this weekend, only a pair of Southern RANKINGS events are scheduled to “go-down” Saturday. In Mississippi at STOKES INTERNATIONAL (a.k.a. Columbus Speedway) the unsanctioned 16th Annual James King Memorial Presented By Larry Clark Chevrolet takes to the “BADDEST BULL RING IN THE SOUTH” for 64 laps of “Wall to Wall” racing action. YEP …as in Chris Wall. Look for a strong run out of the Louisiana based gator-farmer. Over in Georgia, the O’SAS fella’s will be heading to Toccoa for a $5,000. to-Win ROMP N’ STOMP. Evidently Toccoa has a 16-year old Super Late Model ace from nearby, Tiger that will be on the hunt. So keep an eye on # 101 of Ethan Hunter (not to be confused with the other # 101 of Casey Roberts). Also, also also… if the BLAIRSVILLE ASSASSIN shows up, all bets are off. Davenport is on a Southern “Terr” as in terror. In honorable mention fashion, many Lite RANKINGS events are scheduled this weekend thru Indiana, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, North and South Carolina’s. Next week we’ll update their $3,000. - $4,999. to-Win guidelined events.
