FREMONT, Ohio (Thursday, March 20, 2008) - Fremont Speedway is teaming up
with the Fremont Area Foundation and St. Joseph Central Catholic High School
Athletic Boosters to raise funds for area student-athletes.

When "The Track That Action Built" kicks off the 2008 racing season on April
19, members of Fremont Area Foundation and St. Joe Boosters will be manning
the beer stand at the track. The funds raised through the sales will be
split between the Fremont Ross High School basketball program and St. Joe's
athletic programs, explained Roger Hafford, a member of the Fremont Area
Foundation.

The Fremont Area Foundation has helped raise funds for the complete
renovation of the football stadium where both Ross and St. Joe play. Funds
have also been raised for the basketball, baseball and swimming programs.

"Each group of boosters will work half the events at the race track. Many of
our members are race fans, so they're looking forward to being there," said
Hafford. "The bottom line is we are helping kids with the money we will
raise."

"The area Jaycees have taken care of the beer stand the past seven years and
did a great job. Jim Ford wanted a group who did great things in the
community to have a chance to earn money for their projects and that's what
the Jaycees did. I wanted to change it up a bit and help the local high
schools," said new Fremont Speedway Promoter Rich Farmer.

"We're estimating this should raise at least $15,000 for the local athletic
programs," added Farmer. "The boosters are providing a service for the race
fans and the fans in turn are supporting the kids....it's a win-win for
everyone."

"We're hoping since their parents are working hard to provide funds to
improve the programs they enjoy, the kids might come out to the race track
and find out how much fun and excitement goes on in the sport of dirt track
racing," said Farmer.

Area race teams and fans are invited out to the Sandusky County Fairgrounds
for a special pre-season practice session on Sunday, April 13. Entry to the
grandstands will be completely free, though there is a fee for pit passes.
The concession stands will also be open.
