SARVER, Pa. -- Attention all Late Model fans! This Tuesday April 15, (a.k.a. Tax Day), Lernerville Speedway will the site for a Late Model Double Header. So get your taxes done tonight because the Showdown in Sarvertown sponsored by Y108 will feature two classes of Late Models tomorrow night! The World of Outlaws Late Model Series will be the headlining division, supported by the fast-growing crate late model division racing under the banner of UMP DIRTcar Pro Late Models.

The Showdown in Sarvertown sponsored by Y108 is the first major Super Late Model event in the region this season. The World of Outlaws have run five races to date, most recently at the Virginia Motor Speedway. The “Rumble on the River IV” at VMS this past Friday night saw Billy Moyer’s streak of three straight A-main feature wins come to an end after a flat tire derailed his hopes of tying the modern era Outlaw record of four straight feature wins, (currently held by Rick Eckert).

Billy Moyer’s hot start to the 2008 season landed him in the “Wind Tunnel with Dave Despain” last night on SPEED. Billy, who currently sits atop the World of Outlaws Late Model Series Point Standings, talked about his early success and how he looked to get back on track this Tuesday at Lernerville for the Showdown in Sarvertown and this coming weekend at the Dirt Track at Lowe’s Motor Speedway for the Colossal 100.

Central PA star Jeremy Miller of Gettysburg, PA stole the show at the “Rumble on the River IV” by capturing his first World of Outlaws Late Model Series A-main feature win. Jeremy is on cloud nine and will go for two Outlaw wins in a row Tuesday night at the Showdown in Sarvertown sponsored by Y108.

Another driver looking to win his second straight race is Shane Clanton, a World of Outlaws Late Model Series driver who stole a win Saturday Night in a MACS Series race at “The Rock” Allegany County Speedway in Cumberland, MD. Clanton has not enjoyed much success at the Lernerville Speedway in his six visits, but his most recent trip, last year’s Inaugural Firecracker 100, almost ended in Victory Lane. When the dust settled, Clanton was scored in sixth place, but he was definitely in the hunt late in the race!

With $10,000 on the line to win, and acting as a tune-up for the Mid-Summer Spectacular known as the 2nd Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com, a deep and extremely talented field of cars is expected to compete in the Showdown in Sarvertown sponsored by Y108. As a reminder, this year’s Firecracker 100 will be broadcast on SPEED Sunday July 13 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

The Showdown in Sarvertown will also mark the debut of the crate late model division at Lernerville Speedway. Local crate late model rules for FastTrack/UMP Pro Late Models will apply. Tires will be limited to: Goodyear LM 45 & 50, Hoosier LM 40 & 1600 and American Racer 56.

Gates open at 4:00 pm with time trials for the World of Outlaws Late Model Series beginning at 7:15 pm. Green flag racing will start at 8:00 pm. Reserve Seat Tickets are on sale now by calling the Speedway Office during normal business hours at (724) 353-1511. Please log on to Lernerville.com for more details and ticket prices.
