Carnesville, GA (Apr-1) The FASTRAK Racing Series rolls into Red Springs NC April 18 for event number three on the FASTRAK Southern/Smokey Mtn/Mid East Touring Series at Hammerdown Speedway. Many regard a lap around Hammerdown Speedway as one of the quickest laps one will experience anywhere in the Carolina’s. The sub 14 second laps which are common at Hammerdown, boast well of track owner Michel Weeks persistence in achieving perfection with regard to track preparation. By all accounts, the wide layout of Hammerdown in conjunction with a usable racing surface from top to bottom at both ends of the speedway could well produce an intensified level of competition unmatched in the season’s first two events.
