Earl Pearson Jr. Heads to Pennsylvania for Firecracker 100, Finishes 12th at Cherokee Speedway

Earl Pearson Jr. and the Bobby Labonte Racing Team will travel to Sarver, PA this weekend to compete in the World of Outlaws sanctioned event the "Firecracker 100" at Lernerville Speedway. On Friday night Earl will qualify and run heat races at the $40,000 to win event and then return Saturday for to compete in the 100-lap feature event. This past weekend Earl and the team competed in a Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt series sanctioned event at Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, SC. The $7,000 to win feature event was the first night of the two night swing in the Carolinas for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. Earl would run in top ten for most of the 40-lap feature event but suffered a slow deflating right rear tire in the final laps that relegated Earl to a 12th place finish losing several positions in the final laps. On Saturday night June 21st Earl and team traveled to Fayetteville Motor Speedway to compete in the $10,000 to win "Dunn-Benson Ford 50" in Fayetteville, NC. Series officials canceled the event due to rain that rolled in early Saturday afternoon. Earl is currently in 2nd place in the national point's standings only 10 points behind Steve Casebolt.
